July 2010 is here!  Break out the air conditioners, BBQs and lots of cool drinksJ.  Speaking of barbeques, we just had a fun WCR mixer/BBQ at my house last week!  All chapter members were invited to come and bring a friend. 

Two of our members that might qualify for WCR Royalty are Sherri Souza (President-Elect for WCR State) and Jeri Jorgenson (Past President for WCR State & current VP for National’s Region 8).  These ladies brought a “build-your-own pizza party” to my house.  Our guests put their favorite toppings on fresh dough, and then our two lovely chefs cook them up on pizza stones on my barbeque!  Delicious!  Eliane created delicious endive appetizers and Diane and Thuan brought desserts to share.  Yum!

Drinks flowed, the sun was as bright as the smiles, and all was well!  If you came you know; if you missed it –so sorry– we will try to organize another mixer in a couple of months-so be ready!

A very big thank you to the many chapter members that brought along a possible new member!  We will be following-up to see if we can add them as new members, a double bonus.

I am very excited because our Golf Tournament is “swinging” along on schedule for July 26th.  Karen Bartholomew and her committee are doing a fabulous job putting this all together.  Find a friend, bring your clubs, some balls and tees and come out and play for a day!  We have all earned a break!  Each hole is sponsored for a good time ALL day long, at the Executive 9 hole course.  If you can’t play well, don’t worry (neither can I)!  If you can’t play golf at all –no problem, you can help with the event.

More good news, our Fashion Show will be at the Palm Event Center on October 14, 2010.  Corinne Andrews and her committee have some elegant ideas for a Fashion to remember for a LONG time.  I can almost hear the music and see the cat walk now, can’t you? 

I am SO excited about our year together, aren’t you?  To quote a speaker from earlier this year, Brian Sharp, “Are you ready to go Big?”  Come, join in and have some fun!  We are happy to share and there is plenty to go around.
